(It's Not About Grass)

As dawn awakens once-dark skies the morning light opens its eyes.

And 'cross horizon glowing haze begins to crown the earth.

The orange and pink of rising sun adorn the hills now overrun

With God's green grass that lines the place where sky and ground both meet.

And as the grass and sun are wed, the blades so full of life turn red

And line the plane with that which now reminds us of our worth.

Each blade of grass that glows so bright and drips with rays of morning's light

Are proof that we are still alive and haven't met defeat.
