Silence

He hurts me in ways no one else ever would
And shows me more love than the other ones could.
He marks me as his in ways no one has dared,
Ensuring my place in his heart's understood.

He offers me silence by feeding the urge
To suffer in ways that allow me to purge
My head of the noise that is constantly there,
Distilling the pain so relief can emerge.

And when he is done he makes sure that I know
He marred me with love and so that he can show
The world that I'm his without even a doubt.
In flesh he has written his manifesto.
